This is an opportunity to work in the first purpose-built women’s prison in New Zealand and to use your skills and life experience to benefit the community.

 

Our focus at the Department of Corrections is on keeping communities safer. We do this by managing offenders and making sure they fulfill their sentences. As a Corrections Officer your role is to ensure offenders complete their sentence. As part of this you’ll set a positive example and help motivate offenders to take advantage of the opportunities we offer them.

 

Your working environment can be challenging, but we work together to overcome issues and your team is always on hand to offer support and advice.
