Regional Quality
Manager - Prison Services – Central Region
Based in Hamilton
Prison Services is the largest
of the Department’s business units, responsible for the
management of sentenced and remand prisoners within 20 prisons
nationwide. We aim to provide world class prison services that are
safe, secure and humane.
The Regional Quality Manager
– Central Region is responsible for regional implementation
and management of the national quality assurance, risk management,
and business improvement framework and will also provide advice and
support to the Regional Management team on risk
identification/mitigation, and the achievement of best-practice
operational processes and standards.
The position also requires a
National focus and membership of a National team to ensure that
Quality Assurance and risk management activity is undertaken to the
highest international standards.
We
need an experienced person who has had overall operational
management accountability for a medium sized organisation or
functional area, preferably in the custodial, security or defence
sector, which has required them to actively manage aspects of
quality, risk and business and systems improvement.
To
be successful, you must also have:
- The
technical credibility and personality to lead this small team
- The
enthusiasm and cooperative ability to drive business improvement
- Project
management skills
- Well
developed relationship management and interpersonal skills
- An
ability to work within a broad sphere - from strategy to on the
ground operations
- Strong
analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to identify,
source and work with a range of relevant information and data
- Strong
oral and written communications skills
- Strong
computer skills including WP, Excel and databases
