Do you want to change lives for the better?
Do you have the integrity, attitude and capability to bring about positive change in people?
Join us in making our communities safer.
Programme Facilitators work with offenders, helping them to understand and address the causes of their offending, and create crime-free futures. They do this through delivering a range of therapeutic intervention programmes, either individually or with a co-facilitator.
Our Programme Facilitators come from different backgrounds, cultures, education and experience – but they all share the ability to motivate others to make positive changes in their lives.
We need people who:
· Have experience in delivering group or individual therapy
· Are effective communicators and have relationship management skills
· Have knowledge of Maori culture, protocols and peoples
· Are excellent report writers
You will need to have an understanding of the dynamics of individual and group behaviour, and a relevant tertiary education - psychology, social work, counselling or a related area is desirable.
We will give you full training in facilitation skills, cognitive-based therapeutic programme principles and delivery and the support you need to be part of a team working to make communities safer.
