Nurses in prisons provide a primary health care service comparable to that found in the GP practice and community health centres. Health services are provided to all prisoners who consist of a diverse range of ages, cultures and both gender groups.

To be able to apply for the role of a Nurse in New Zealand, you will need:

Permanent New Zealand residency OR
A work permit or residency visa (Note that if you receive a provisional offer of appointment for this role it will be dependent on you obtaining a work permit that is valid for a minimum of two years) AND
